Carrie Davis - Music / Theatre
Carrie earned an A.A. from Brigham Young University Idaho in Fine Arts and then a B.S. from Brigham Young University Provo, UT in Dance Education.
While attending, she participated in the various dance companies, including the Modern Dance company and the Ballroom Dance Touring Company. Carrie competed in ballroom dance professionally for three years and was 2nd in the nation in American Rhythm. She began teaching youth formation teams and fell in love with teaching. She has taught in both Idaho and Utah public schools where she has had students move on to professional careers in dance and film.
Outside of teaching, she has three beautiful girls that she loves to spend time with. She is passionate about music and loves to collect vinyl records. She sings, plays the trombone and designs costumes.
Doug Eivers - Theatre
With 18 years of teaching experience, Doug has been with Pinewood since 2001 where he proudly serves as the Technical Director. Through the years, he has helped produce close to 100 plays and musicals at Pinewood, directing nearly half of them. In the distant past, Mr. Eivers worked in the scene shop at San Jose State University where he earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts/Drama. He also holds graduate credits from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Southern Oregon University. Mr. Eivers has been nominated for several Bay Area Top Honor Awards for his production and design work. Doug enjoys working within the Bay Area theatre scene. He has worked either onstage or off with San Jose Children's Musical Theatre, Peninsula Youth Theatre, Los Altos Stage Company and Sunnyvale Community Players. Doug is a member of the California Educational Theatre Association and the American Alliance for Theatre and Education. In addition to his work in the theatre, Doug has served as a class and club adviser at Pinewood, as well as a coach in many high school and junior high sports. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters and is also a proud member of "Familia Creativa", four-time Golden Shovel winners of the annual Carmel Great Sandcastle Competition.
Katie Linza - Music / Theatre

Katie holds an M.A. in Drama from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in contemporary and devised theatre practices. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from San Jose State University with an emphasis in Improvised Music Studies, including jazz, pop/rock/gospel, as well as Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian, South Indian Classical and other world music traditions. Katie also holds a degree in Professional Music from vocal jazz guru Phil Mattson's School for Music Vocations in Iowa. In addition to teaching at Pinewood School, Katie has most recently taught private voice and piano lessons at a private music studio in Campbell, served as Music Director at Lake Merritt United Methodist Church in Oakland, taught at The Jazzschool (now the California Jazz Conservatory) in Berkeley and the Stanford Jazz Workshop, and acted as former Artistic Music Director of the Oakland Jazz Choir. Katie has been blessed with many years of music teaching, directing, and performance experience, having worked as music director, conductor, piano accompanist, and arranger for various jazz, pop, classical choral, acappella, and theatrical groups, and having sung and recorded with multiple jazz, R&B/funk/soul, gospel, Afro-Latin,and musical theatre ensembles in the Bay Area and beyond. In addition to her extensive work as a musician, Katie is also an actor and has trained and performed with various theatre companies in the Bay Area and has worked on various film and commercial projects.
